Crozer-Keystone DCMH Paramedics Recognized For Life Saving Efforts

Sent on behalf of Marketing and Corporate Communications

Mayor Tom Micozzie and Upper Darby Township Council honored Crozer-Keystone’s DCMH paramedics and local first responders for their exemplary service and bravery at a public meeting on Jan. 16.

Upper Darby firefighters, police and medics helped rescue 3 people from their North Carol Boulevard home that was engulfed in flames in the two-alarm fire around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19. While firefighters took down the fire on the first floor, emergency personnel helped rescue three individuals who were on the second floor. Two others had jumped from a second-floor window before responders arrived where fire was viewed coming out of a rear window. The victims were taken to CCMC, DCMH, and Lankenau for treatment of serious injuries.

These first responders put the lives of others before their own, and we commend the bravery and dedication they display every day to keep our community safe. Thank you for your service & commitment.

Nominate an Extraordinary Colleague as a Healthcare Hero

Sent on behalf of Marketing and Corporate Communications

Main Line Today magazine has kicked off the nomination process for its 7th annual Healthcare Heroes feature, and we need your help!

Healthcare Heroes are extraordinary individuals who go above and beyond to better their communities and help those in need. Each year, Crozer-Keystone offers numerous candidates for the award and is consistently recognized in the feature. In 2018 there were only 14 winners across the region, and our administrative director of Oncology, Marie DeStefano, was among them. Marie was recognized for her work on the annual Girls Night Out event, which has raised more than $500,000 since inception. You can read last year’s write-up by clicking .

This year, the publication is allowing us to nominate colleagues in the following roles: Nurses, First Responders, Mental Health Experts, Physical Therapists, Physicians, Volunteers, Fitness Trainers, Addiction Specialists, Behavioral Health Professionals, Geriatric Care Workers, and Researchers.

Winners will be highlighted in the May 2019 issue of Main Line Today and honored at a reception.

The Marketing and Communications department will consider all suggestions, select the nominees and write the submissions. If you would like to nominate a colleague, all we need is:

  • the employee’s name, site and department, and
  • a succinct description of why they are deserving of a Healthcare Hero award.

Please email your suggestions to [email protected] by Monday, Jan. 21. Thank you for helping us recognize Crozer-Keystone’s Healthcare Heroes!
