CEO Employee Town Halls - 13 New Meetings Added

Sent on behalf of Patrick Gavin, CEO of Crozer-Keystone Health System

Please don’t forget that I am hosting another round of town hall meetings during the month of September.

We will talk about many exciting initiatives and developments here at Crozer-Keystone Health System. I will share updates about our service lines, facilities improvements, employee accomplishments, and the overall health of the system. Your questions will be a priority too, so please submit them ahead of time to [email protected] or online at 18cafe.info/Ask-Pat.

We are doing two things to ensure that all Crozer-Keystone teammates get the opportunity to participate in town hall meetings:

  • We’ve scheduled more than 70 sessions, to be hosted at many venues across the health system. They are running regularly between Sept. 17 and Sept. 29.
    • Note: in response to several Ask Pat submissions received, we’ve added additional meetings to the schedule to better accommodate our evening and night shift employees.
      • Six meetings at CCMC, three at Taylor, two at Springfield and two at DCMH. For your convenience, the new meetings are highlighted in blue.
      • Please see the UPDATED enclosed schedule (click here for schedule), and talk with your department director to figure out which session you should attend. The new evening/night meetings are included in this attachment.
  • The management team is treating this opportunity as a priority. They will adapt department schedules so everyone has a chance to attend, and we will log attendance to ensure 100% participation.

These opportunities are rewarding for everyone. We get to share great news, reinforce our mission as the largest health care provider in Delaware County, and respond to your questions and comments. Thank you for everything you do for our patients, each and every day.

CKHS PEARL Program – Caring For Moms & Babies Experiencing Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome

Sent on behalf of Debra Bonner, RNC, BSN, PEARL Program, Nurse Navigator

Did you know -- Last year, Crozer-Keystone Health System established a center of excellence dedicated to assisting expectant mothers with substance abuse disorders as well as their unborn babies who may be at risk for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome? The program – named PEARL, an acronym for Prevention, Education, Addiction, Recovery and Linkage - is based at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

The PEARL team connects with mothers through outreach with physicians, community agencies, Crozer-Keystone facilities and other healthcare facilities throughout Delaware County. Nurse Navigator, Case Managers and Recovery Specialist aim to begin working with mothers during the perinatal stage and provide ongoing support and ancillary services postnatal until the baby reaches two years of age. PEARL services are available to expectant mothers participating in Keystone First insurance. Expectant mothers with other insurance products who wish to access treatment will be referred by PEARL to the Crozer-Keystone Opioid Treatment Center of Excellence team.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about the PEARL Program, call 610-619-8461 or visit 18cafe.info/PEARL. Click here for a brochure on the program.

UPCOMING EVENT: The PEARL team is hosting a course on Women & Addiction Monday, November 12. Marilyn Stein M Ed., of MSG Consulting Substance, will discuss abuse and the key issues faced by women as they lose themselves to addiction. Registration/check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. and training will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Clark Education Center Auditorium at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
