Recognized For Excellence: Manisha “Ni” Dixon, Patient Access Representative, Crozer Chester Medical Center

Sent on behalf of Marketing and Corporate Communications

A well-prepared workforce is an essential component of Crozer-Keystone’s ability to properly manage an emergency. Congratulations to Manisha “Ni” Dixon, Patient Access Representative at Crozer Chester Medical Center, who was recently recognized for her participation and positive involvement in Crozer-Keystone Health System’s emergency preparedness drill, focused around our response to an active shooter/armed intruder.

Wilbur Wolf, co-founder of Aquila Strategy and Operations Group, LLC, presented Manisha with a challenge coin during the Hotwash/AAR at Crozer-Chester Medical Center on Thursday, July 12.

“While the whole Emergency Department, Security, Telecom, and administrative teams at Crozer-Chester Medical Center did a commendable job, Manisha’s response to the drill stood out among the rest,” Wilbur commented. “Rarely do we have someone placed in such an intense situation respond so well. When confronted by the ‘shooter’ Manisha calmly observed all important details, communicated the report and warning quickly and accurately, and took effective life-saving actions while also informing and assisting others.”

Thank you for all you do, Manisha. Crozer-Keystone is grateful for your commitment to the safety of your co-workers and the community.

Sent on behalf of Debra Bonner, RNC, BSN, PEARL Program, Nurse Navigator

Did you know -- Last year, Crozer-Keystone Health System established a center of excellence dedicated to assisting expectant mothers with substance abuse disorders as well as their unborn babies who may be at risk for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome?  The program – named PEARL, an acronym for Prevention, Education, Addiction, Recovery and Linkage - is based at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

The PEARL team connects with mothers through outreach with physicians, community agencies, Crozer-Keystone facilities and other healthcare facilities throughout Delaware County. Nurse Navigator, Case Managers and Recovery Specialist aim to begin working with mothers during the perinatal stage and provide ongoing support and ancillary services postnatal until the baby reaches two years of age. PEARL services are available to expectant mothers participating in Keystone First insurance. Expectant mothers with other insurance products who wish to access treatment will be referred by PEARL to the Crozer-Keystone Opioid Treatment Center of Excellence team.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about the PEARL Program, call 610-619-8461 or visit 18cafe.info/PEARL. Click here for a brochure on the program
