Crozer-Chester Medical Center pediatric residents didn’t miss an opportunity to work with the Pennsylvania American Academy of Pediatrics (PA-AAP) and the Delaware Valley Association for the Education of Young Children, advocating for Pennsylvania children in Harrisburg.

Representing Crozer-Keystone at the PA-AAP legislative advocacy day in Harrisburg was pediatric attending Darcy Hayes, M.D.; pediatric chief resident Tanner Walsh, M.D.; and interns Janisha Patel, M.D., and Danilo Tadeo, M.D. The goal of the day was to educate legislators on the topic of gun violence prevention in our communities.

Additionally, intern Amelie Bottex, D.O., worked with The Pre-K for PA initiative to help lawmakers understand the need to provide high-quality pre-kindergarten programs for all Pennsylvania children.

“The Crozer pediatrics residency program is proud to contribute expertise in support of the health and well-being of children and families through a strong commitment to legislative advocacy and education,” said Dr. Hayes.
